FPC Camera Application Example: Solu Technology

Solu Technology is primarily engaged in providing security camera and video solution services. Based in Auckland, New Zealand, Mr. David Mason visited our booth at the Hong Kong Expo. During our discussion, he shared his plan and requirements, specifically the need for a single-sided micro-to-mini SIM card extender FPC board with a length of 30cm.

Based on our original mini-to-mini 20cm SIM card extender FPC, and considering Solu Technology’s requirements to keep the connection circuit and pad unchanged, our engineers made modifications to the engineering design drawings in the gerber file. Afterward, we proceeded with sample production and created a proof of concept. As we understand that SIM card extender FPC cable boards come in at least three types (mini, micro, and nano), we took great care in designing and modifying the solution accordingly.

How We Helped Our Customer’s Business

The production process for single-sided FPC is similar to that of double-sided FPC. Here is a brief overview:

Single-sided copper clad laminate → Cut Lamination → washing, drying → drilling or punching → screen printing line anti-etching pattern or using dry film → solidify inspection and repairing → etching copper → etching resist ink, drying → washing, drying → solder mask, UV curing → screen printing, UV curing → preheating, punching and Form → open short circuit test → washing, drying → pre-coated soldering anti-oxidant (dry) or spray hot air flattening → inspection packaging → finished product delivery.
